In general the notices located in this section fall have statutory notice requirements under Section 94 of the Community Charter, which require public notification prior to Council's consideration of the matter. These notices are also posted in the local newspaper and on the notice board just outside of the District Office's front doors. Depending on the matter, notices may also be posted on the subject property, in the BC Gazette, Community Newsletters, Council Facts, through the radio or social media, or even as a display in the mall, library or community centre.

Construction activities for the access road for relocation of the overhead powerlines will commence on July 5, 2017.
The District of Sparwood has initiated an Alternate Approval Process, otherwise known as a counter-petition, to obtain elector approval to enter into a 10-Year Lease Agreement with School District #5 for 1351 Ponderosa Drive for the installation of a multi-use outdoor facility to replace the tennis and basketball courts located in the Cherrywood subdivision.
