Website Editor (Summer Student/Co-op Student)

The District of Sparwood has an excellent employment opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated student to join the team as Website Editor. The incumbent will perform website modification and edits to support and improve corporate communication and access to information and end-user productivity of website. 

The Website Editor will research, design and implement various modifications and develop and propose creative solutions that address overall design, site navigation and layout of content.

This position is a unionized position under CUPE local 2698. Students must have been in full time attendance at a secondary, post-secondary, technical or other educational institution and be planning to return to school.

Wages are between $17.81 and $21.99 as per the Collective Agreement.

The Website Editor will receive general direction and varied levels of supervision from the Executive Assistant as appropriate and/or other employees as assigned.

Required Education / Work Experience

Must have been in full time attendance at a post-secondary, technical or other educational institution and planning to return to school.  

Required Skills and Abilities / Work Demands

  • Working knowledge of a Cloud-Based (SaaS) CMS Platform and webpage management
