Council invites and encourages the public to attend and provide feedback that will assist Council in setting priorities for our community.

The RDEK is currently reviewing its Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP). They are asking for the public's input on how they use the current solid waste and recycling systems and what they'd like to see in the future. Survey deadline is February 25, 2019.

From January 15 - February 28, 2019 the District will be seeking resident, worker and visitor participation in engagement activities related to the livability study. Participate through an online survey, visit a pop-up office, attend a workshop or stop in at our booth at Winterfest!
The District is conducting a livability study to look at quality of life in Sparwood. Starting in mid-January, community members will have a chance to share insights on what they value most about Sparwood; how best to measure our quality of life;
and ways we can ensure residents have an outstanding quality of life in the future.

From Nov 1 to 15, Teck is carrying out work to replace a culvert crossing with a bridge on the Grave Creek Road. This work will improve fish passage in Grave Creek and is part of Teck’s commitment to enhance fish habitat.
