Notice of Intent: Partnering Agreement for Air Monitoring Station

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Council of the District of Sparwood will at the Regular Meeting of August 20, 2018 consider a resolution to enter into a partnering agreement with Teck Coal Limited for the placement of an air monitoring station for Teck, with permission for the installation of camera equipment owned by the District on the terms and conditions contained in the agreement, for a sum of $10.00.

In general terms, the agreement will allow Teck to install Climate and Air Monitoring Equipment on District land and allow the District to install a tower and photographic equipment. The agreement will expire on August 1, 2020 unless cancelled earlier pursuant to the terms of the agreement. The location of the proposed air monitoring station is on District of Sparwood property at 6000 Highway 43 (Lot A, District Lot 9488, Kootenay District Plan EPP19348 PID: 028-810-155).
