In general the notices located in this section fall have statutory notice requirements under Section 94 of the Community Charterwhich require public notification prior to Council's consideration of the matter. These notices are also posted in the local newspaper and on the notice board just outside of the District Office's front doors. Depending on the matter, notices may also be posted on the subject property, in the BC Gazette, Community NewslettersCouncil Facts, through the radio or social media, or even as a display in the mall, library or community centre.

    The District of Sparwood would like to advise residents that the municipality will be temporarily closing Red Cedar Hill to conduct an evaluation of the road settlements and underground voids using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). This closure will begin at 8:00 am on February 24.
