In general the notices located in this section fall have statutory notice requirements under Section 94 of the Community Charter, which require public notification prior to Council's consideration of the matter. These notices are also posted in the local newspaper and on the notice board just outside of the District Office's front doors. Depending on the matter, notices may also be posted on the subject property, in the BC Gazette, Community Newsletters, Council Facts, through the radio or social media, or even as a display in the mall, library or community centre.
Council will hold an informal public hearing at the Special Meeting on April 30, 2019 for Development Variance Permit 2019-004 for 1241 Sycamore Road to decrease the minimum side yard for an accessory building to construct a detached garage.

The applicant has applied for a variance to allow for construction of a detached garage in the rear of the property which is within the side yard setback and taller than allowed in the Zoning Bylaw.
