I am really excited to be elected to Council and I will work hard to ensure your voices are heard. I lived in Sparwood as a child where I attended Mountain View Elementary and Sparwood Secondary School. I graduated from Mount Baker Secondary School in Cranbrook in 2001, and then attended the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook where I took Business Administration with a major in Accounting. I continued my college studies with a computer-based focus where I studied as a Network Support Technician and graduated with an Applied Computer Studies certificate and Microsoft Certified Professional certification (MCP). I moved back to Sparwood in 2009 with my three boys, Dominic, Dallen, and Delano. I met my partner Jeremy, here in Sparwood where we had our daughter, Emily. I worked for several years at the Rec Centre as a casual cashier while also working at the Sparwood Public Library where I taught computer classes to seniors and children. I secured a full-time position at Finning, only to be laid off less than a year later when the mines slowed in 2011. I then became a paramedic for BC Ambulance based in Sparwood and also started selling my cake and cupcake creations in my spare time. Jeremy and I opened our restaurant, Crumbs Cakery & Cafe in 2015 and we haven’t looked back!
I strongly believe in planning strategically for the future with a collaborative and transparent approach. I am happy to chat about your questions and concerns. Feel free to contact me through any method that works best for you, including social media!
