Notice, that the deadline for paying your 2019 property taxes without penalty is this Thursday, July 4.
If you live in your home as your principal residence, but cannot pay your tax bill, you should still claim your Home Owner Grant. Penalty applies to all taxes, including the grant portion outstanding after the due date of July 4.

The District of Sparwood has an opening for someone from the community who would like to volunteer their time to participate on the Socio-Community and Economic Effects Advisory Committee (SCEEAC). You will work with representatives from the District and Teck to help ensure that impacts from the mine on the Sparwood community are mitigated and managed in the most adaptive, effective way possible.
