Canfor will be harvesting trees on a Fire Interface Treatment Unit west of the Sparwood Heights starting Monday, January 18, 2021. Haulers will be accessing crown land through Sparwood Heights Drive via the Ski Hill Road and will be using the BC Hydro right of way past the Sparwood Heights Reservoir. Large logging trucks will be hauling for 3 to 4 weeks finishing the operation near the end of February.
The District would like to remind residents walking in the area to have your pets on a leash and to be cautious with the increased traffic. Please watch for and obey posted trail closures during this period of time.
