Emergency Preparedness a Priority

Due to the recent rainfall warning, and out of an abundance of caution a sandbag station has been set up on Engelmann Spruce Drive past the Mainroad Yard and Fire Hall #1. Sandbags are in the bin adjacent to the pile. Please bring your own shovels and gloves.

As highlighted by recent events across the Province, it is important to be prepared for an emergency. If you haven’t already, you can sign up for the Regional District of East Kootenay evacuation notification system, for evacuation alerts or orders within the East Kootenays. More information can be found here.

Should an emergency arise, residents can find up-to-date information on the District of Sparwood website and Facebook page.
