Effective immediately, the District of Sparwood playgrounds have been reopened for community use. While there are no expectations that children will maintain physical distancing during play in playgrounds, the District would like to remind users of the general guidelines as they apply to all District spaces.
When using our playgrounds and park amenities please follow the guidelines:
- Bring your own hand sanitizer and wash your hands often
- If you are sick, please stay home
- Keep your circle small
- Wait your turn
- If it is busy, come back another time
It is important for families to note that play structures, surfaces and / or equipment are not sanitized. Bringing and utilizing your own hand sanitizer is recommended before and after use. If you are unsure if you or your family should be using the play equipment, various options for alternate outdoor activity can be explored in one of the many District parks or open spaces.
In conjunction with the opening of playgrounds, washroom facilities will now be available for use at the Sparwood Spray Park. Washrooms will be cleaned each day in accordance with safety guidelines.
