Welcoming Engine 55

The District of Sparwood is excited to welcome Engine 55 as the newest truck in the fleet.

Engine 55 is equipped with many features that are designed with health and safety in mind for both firefighters and the community.

The firefighting package is built around a 6000 liters per minute water pump that will supply more water than any engine in the fleet. The truck also features a ladder package the ranges from 12 to 35 feet and a 1250 gallon per minute top mounted deck gun. The cab is designed with reenforced pillars for crush and rollover protection and advanced in-cab air filtration to combat contaminants.

The Sparwood Fire Department will be officially welcoming the engine to the fleet on Wednesday, August 27 at 5:00 pm at Fire Hall #1.
