With school back in session, the District of Sparwood would like to remind parents and guardians about the best practices in school zones when dropping off or picking up their children. We ask that you park responsibly, drive slowly, and watch for pedestrians in the area.
– Be mindful of the neighbours on Blue Spruce Crescent and Pine Avenue. Do not park your vehicle in front of any public or private driveway.
– When parking near a school crosswalk you must be 8m back from the approach side of the crosswalk and 6m away from all stop signs and fire hydrants.
– Do not park where there are signs indicating “No Parking”.
Please help keep children safe this school year.
