Laura is currently the General Manager at Teck’s Elkview Operations. She is a professional engineer who has worked in both Mine Operations and Mine Engineering at the Elkview, Greenhills and Coal Mountain Operations. Originally from Winnipeg, she moved to the Elk Valley in 2008 after spending ten years in Alberta attending university and working in the Alberta thermal coal industry. Passionate about sustainable mining in the Elk Valley, Laura is looking forward to continuing to develop the collaborative relationship between Teck and the community and residents of Sparwood.
