Rory joined Teck Resources as the Manager, Social Responsibility in January 2021. His prior roles include leading an Indigenous Relations team developing oil pipeline projects in the United States and managing Community and Indigenous Relations for an Alberta oil sands company. Additional career highlights include work in the non-profit sector to advance employment, business, agriculture, and health projects in remote communities both in Canada and Central America. Rory has an educational background in Social Sciences, mediation, and conflict resolution and is completing a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. With a passion for listening and learning about community needs and challenges, as well as growing moustaches, Rory is committed to finding ways to collaborate on tangible solutions. Rory’s volunteer experience includes board work and fundraising to address socio-economic, health, and community development issues in Canada and abroad.
